As Project Coordinator/Manager, Arlene's role is to work with the Principal Investigator to manage and coordinate activities for several research projects related to improving implementation of best practices in speech-language service delivery for young children. Arlene develops and maintains project plans, and supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of research project components. Arlene also serves as the primary contact for research projects and manages administration, communication, data management and logistical research tasks.

Aileen is a registered occupational therapist. She graduated from McMaster University with a Masters of Clinical Health Sciences- Occupational Therapy in 2002 and practiced for several years in children’s treatment centres in Ontario before completing her PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders at Penn State University in 2010. Aileen has a special interest in augmentative and alternative communication. She has experience in both school health support services and outpatient pediatrics and loves working with children and their families to address fine motor skills, sensory needs, and other functional challenges. Aileen currently instructs courses in both the Speech-Language Pathology and Rehabilitation Sciences program at McMaster University and enjoys tutoring in the Occupational Therapy program. She is passionate about teaching entry level clinical students to help prepare them for their diverse and exciting careers. Aileen also enjoys contributing to research in rehabilitation and has been fortunate to coordinate a variety of projects in clinical and academic settings.

Alison Csercsics is a research associate in the Communicative Health Services and Systems Lab. She obtained a Masters of Clinical Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2021 and an Honors Bachelor of Arts Degree in Linguistics and Psychology in 2019 from 深夜福利站. Alison’s current research work focuses on implementing consistent terminology for preschool speech and language disorders across speech and language programs in Ontario. She is passionate about using implementation science to maximize evidence-based practice in clinical settings. Alison is also a pediatric speech-language pathologist with experience in the assessment and intervention of speech sound disorders, language disorders, augmentative and alternative communication, and literacy difficulties.

Jessica Kay

Jessica is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist. She received a Masters of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto in 2010. She has been practicing for twelve years as a paediatric clinician, starting her career in the provincial Preschool Speech and Language program and for the past ten years in an expanded-level Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) clinic. She is a guest lecturer in 深夜福利站's AAC course annually. She recently has transitioned out of active clinical practice and is a Clinical Coordinator for her clinic's team. Jessica has a passion for supporting children with complex communication needs. She is a clinical research associate for the lab's C-BiLLT research project and enjoys merging research with clinical practice.

Andrea is a registered Speech-Language Pathologist. She obtained a Master of Clinical Science in Speech Language Pathology in 2020 and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Speech and Language Sciences from Brock University in 2018. Andrea has spent the last three years working in an expanded level Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) clinic. She has also worked in the provincial Preschool Speech and Language Program and private practice. Andrea has a passion for working with children and adults with complex communication needs and empowering families to support their child's communication journey.
