Mariana Chajon Oliveros BA in English Literature and Communication Studies, Concordia University My MA research project explores the trope of a woman who leaves her husband, or a ‘tecuna,’ as it is presented in Miguel Angel Asturias’ novel Hombres de Maíz (Men of Maize). I am interested in postcolonial studies, gender studies, and on diasporic and intersectional works of literature. |

Stoodley BAH, English Literature, Queen's University My MA Independent Research Project explores the psycholgical Father Wound in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and its affects on social relationships between parents and children. I am interested in 19th Century British Literature, including Gothic, Colonial/Postcolonial writings, Social Problem Novels, Industrurial Literature, etc. I am also intriguied by Literary Criticism and Theory, Utopian and Dystopian Literature, Medieval Literature, and J. R. R. Tolkein's fantasy writings. |
