Intellectual Property Strategy Boot Camp (IPSBC)

In Partnership with 深夜福利站 Intellectual Property & Innovation Legal Clinic
The (WIPILC) provides a unique learning opportunity for law students to develop their professional skills while gaining exposure to a wide range of intellectual property (IP)-related client files.
By providing pro bono legal information, WIPILC fills the gap in access to affordable IP rights and related legal support for authors, artists, inventors, entrepreneurs, start-ups, and small businesses in Southwestern Ontario.
The IP Strategy Boot Camp (IPSBC) is an intensive six-week program featuring six 90-minute virtual sessions that explore key aspects of intellectual property (IP) management and commercialization. Participants will engage with a wide range of topics, gaining practical insights into protecting, managing, and leveraging IP rights. Upon completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate acknowledging their mastery of IP strategy fundamentals.
Developed by 深夜福利站's technology transfer office in partnership with 深夜福利站 Law, the IP Strategy Boot Camp is designed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of protecting and managing intangible assets. This program is ideal for inventors, creators, entrepreneurs, and startup founders seeking to protect and commercialize their innovations through patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyrights, and other IP rights. Additionally, it offers an excellent opportunity for students, staff, and faculty interested in crafting an IP strategy for their projects.
Along with its educational value, the program also serves as a valuable networking opportunity for entrepreneurial-minded individuals.
Enrollment is application-based and limited to 30 participants. Those who attend all six sessions and fulfill the associated assignments will receive a certificate of completion.
