The focus of my research is dystopian narrative and the prototypical traits that standardize the works of this genre. The classic dystopias of the beginning of the twentieth’s century are of particular concern to my study.

My research interests focus on queer theory and literature, along with the writing and representation of trauma and survival, especially during the AIDS crisis. My thesis revolves around the written and visual works of David Wojnarowicz and Derek Jarman, influenced by Blanchot's concept of fragmentary writing.

My interests include the intersection of Postcolonialism with pop culture & media studies, depictions of national/queer identities, theories of control, & diasporic literature.

My interests include the complex world of fairy tales, the development of the vampire figure, re-writings of Classical myths, the influence of the Bible on literature and pop culture.

I am mainly interested in the intersection of literature and science, with a particular focus on physics. My languages are English, Persian, Spanish, French, German, and Mandarin.

Busra Copuroglu explores boredom in modern literature, focusing on Zola, Chekhov, Pessoa, Walser, Stein, and Davis. Drawing from psychoanalysis, cinema, philosophy, and affect theory, her work delves into narrative mood, direct speech, and social critique. She guest-edited on boredom for Post45 and contributes to The Didi-Huberman Dictionary.

My thesis focuses on representations of bureaucracy in literature and cinema in the second half of the 20th century.

Working at the intersection between medieval Arthurian romance and history of medicine, I am investigating the phenomenon of the fighter/healer in reality and fiction.

My research interests include representations of Holocaust in Ukrainian & Russian literature, Ukrainian & Russian literary modernism & avant-garde, literature of Ukrainian Diaspora in North America.

My research interests include crime and detective fiction and the evolution of the dāstān tradition in Urdu literature.
