Wellness Education

Wellness Education is committed to the well-being of students through ongoing events, educational opportunities and resources that promote wellness on campus. We use evidence-based practices to address the ongoing mental health and health needs of students, through skill building and knowledge translation. Our services strive to empower students to feel confident with strategies to support their wellness and well-being, and a clear understanding of what services and supports are available to them.

Wellness education continues to collaborate with campus and community partners to offer services that best meet the needs of students.

Laura Evans & World Mental Health Day

Each year, 深夜福利站 hosts a World Mental Health Day Event which is supported by a generous gift from Marilyn and Rick Evans and family in honour of their daughter and sister, Laura. Laura was a third-year psychology student at Brock University who at age 19 died of suicide.

In celebration of Laura's generous spirit and willingness to help others, her family wishes to ensure all students can access and benefit from the psycho-educational information provided through this event.

World Mental Health Day is held in and around October 10.
