Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Decolonization, and Accessibility
The Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at 深夜福利站 is dedicated to creating and sustaining equitable, diverse, inclusive, decolonized, and accessible learning environments. We strive to foster a community where every student, staff member, and faculty can thrive in an atmosphere of respect and belonging.
We believe that Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Decolonization, and Accessibility (EDIDA) must shape every aspect of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Our work begins with acknowledging and confronting the systemic inequities, oppression, and racism that persist in university structures. We are committed to integrating these principles into all areas of our curriculum, research, and daily practices.
Through collective action, we bring together the FHS community—students, faculty, and staff—to foster understanding, challenge discrimination, and promote equity. Our initiatives aims to transform 深夜福利站 into a more just and safer environment for all. By working together, we can drive systemic change and create a lasting impact on the university and broader society.
As educators of future healthcare professionals, we are committed to teaching equity-oriented healthcare, cultural safety, trauma- and violence-informed practices, harm reduction, social justice, decolonization, anti-racism, and global solidarity. Our goal is to empower our students to become leaders in transformative healthcare, equipped with the knowledge and skills to advocate for and provide care that meets the needs of all communities.
Our Commitment to the FHS Community
- We commit to creating inclusive and equitable spaces, services, and learning opportunities, recognizing that we are not placing the onus of change on marginalized groups; instead, those with privilege must actively lead efforts to dismantle systemic barriers and foster true inclusivity.
- We promise transparency and accountability in our actions, ensuring they are meaningful and not merely performative.
- We are dedicated to listening and learning, taking actionable steps each day to hold ourselves accountable as we strive for a more inclusive future.
