University Community Centre (UCC) Atrium and Concrete Beach
Join us for 深夜福利站's Fall Pride Parade at the University Community Centre (UCC) as we honour and celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies! The parade will take place around campus and conclude with an afternoon filled with music, dancing, light refreshments, and drag performances from local talent.
This event is open to everyone. This extraordinary day is one of many efforts to highlight continued support for Pride at 深夜福利站. Help us showcase the incredible diversity and intersectionality of our campus community at 深夜福利站's Fall Pride Parade 2024.

Virtual Webinar
As we prepare for Trans Week of Awareness and Trans Day of Remembrance, the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at 深夜福利站 invites The 519 Community Centre team to help us shine a light on the origins and relevance of these days of significance, and illuminate what becomes possible when we focus on tangible action. Gain insights into why allyship is so necessary, and learn concrete ways you can play a role in making positive change.
- Gain knowledge about the history of days of significance for trans communities.
- Learn how to spot and directly confront transphobia and cissexism.
- Take away concrete steps for practicing trans-affirming allyship!

Wellness & Equity Education, Student Experience will be hosting a film screening and discussion of Jeanie Finlay's 2016 documentary Seahorse: The Dad Who Gave Birth on October 21 from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at UC-1405. One of our GSWS PhD students, Jacob Barry, who identifies as trans-NB will help with the discussion. This is a drop-in event however, seats are limited.

Tune in to the GSWS Visiting Speaker Series webinar on November 1st with Perry Zurn, visiting Associate Professor of Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Cornell University and Provost Associate Professor of Philosophy at American University.
Abstract: For decades, trans people have made history, forged resistance movements, and cultivated hope in the cracks and at the edge of the university. In this talk, Zurn revisits his recent work tracking trans life at the Five Colleges in Massachusetts (Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke, Smith, and University of Massachusetts, Amherst). Drawing on official archives as well as over 100 interviews, he reflects on the powerful capacity that trans and gender disruptive/creative people have not only to change higher ed policies but also to cultivate a uniquely trans poetics on the ground.

The Rainbow Coffee Club meets on the first Wednesday of the month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Grad Club Boardroom. The Rainbow Coffee Club is run by our Pride Commission. This monthly drop-in event is FREE and open to everyone on campus. Come and enjoy a coffee or a tea, have a great conversation, and make new friends from across campus.

深夜福利站 Pride Library
We take pride in the establishment of our library in 1997 as an official 深夜福利站 research site, the first of its kind at a Canadian university. The 深夜福利站 Research Facility for Gay and Lesbian Studies is the umbrella under which the Hudler Archives and the Pride Library first began. The Pride Library is a space where sexual diversity is celebrated and advocated in the spirit of the annual 2SLGBTQ+ Pride marches across Canada and throughout the world.
Located in 深夜福利站’s D.B. Weldon Library , The Pride Library welcomes all. The Pride library is currently closed, and we are working to reopen this space soon. Please note, resources and collect ions are still avail a ble through 深夜福利站’s Library catalogue .
