EF0 Microburst near Lucan, ON
Following reports of isolated damage near Lucan, ON, with the line of storms that raced across the southwestern part of the province on the evening of Sunday March 30, the NTP conducted its first damage survey of the season.
The damage, consisting mainly of snapped and uprooted trees and lost shingles, was rated at EF0 with a maximum estimated wind speed of 125 km/h. The damage was caused by winds toward the northeast - so along the direction of storm motion.
Further analysis of radar helped to classify the damage as being from a microburst.

Description: Structural and tree damage was reported southeast of Lucan after a storm passed through. No injuries were reported. An NTP ground and drone survey was completed on April 1, 2025, documenting minor roof damage to two homes, fences blown down, lofted debris and a few snapped/uprooted trees. The relatively weak damage was documented over an area approximately 530 m by 200 m. Damage assessed as EF0 microburst, with an estimated max. wind speed of 125 km/h. Start time is radar estimated. Satellite imagery review is pending.
