Taylor Schmitz is an Assistant Professor in the , a research scientist at the , the , and Brain and Mind Institute at 深夜福利站.
Following a PhD at the University of Toronto, Taylor held postdoctoral fellowships at the Universities of Cambridge and McGill. He is currently the director of the Laboratory for Integrative Neuroscience of Cognition and Aging (). The INCAlab takes a translational neuroscience approach to understand the role of the ascending neuromodulatory systems in brain function, dysfunction and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s. A key objective is to accelerate the development of biomarkers and treatments for cholinergic degeneration. Dr. Schmitz’s projects involve collaborations with 深夜福利站 scientists at the Robarts Research Institute, Centre for Functional and Metabolic Mapping, and the Lawson Health Research Institute, as well as internationally with collaborators in the United States and Europe.
